City of Renton and King County Library System present free Summer Extravaganza

July and August events for ages 1 to 18 featuring arts and crafts, lunch, and entertainment

RENTON, WA - The City of Renton is partnering with King County Library System to present three free Summer Extravaganzas at two parks around the city.

The events are for children under 18 years of age and will feature free arts and crafts, lunch, and entertainment. Pre-registration is not required.

The first extravaganza will be on Monday, July 9 at Liberty Park, 1101 Bronson Way N. The other two will be on Thursday, July 19 and Thursday, August 2 at Heritage Park, 233 Union Avenue NE.

Monday, July 9
Liberty Park

10 a.m.: Drum & Percussion Music Workshop, presented by Johannes Qulitz of Drum Life
11 - 11:15 a.m.: Lunch for ages 18 & under
11 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.: Free arts & crafts, group games
1:15 - 1:30 p.m.: Snack for ages 18 & under

Thursday, July 19
Heritage Park
233 Union Avenue NE

11 a.m. -1 p.m.: Free arts & crafts, group games
11:45 a.m. -12:15 p.m.: Lunch for ages 18 & under
1 p.m.: Recycalypso: Steel Drum Party performed by Ian Dobson
2:15 - 2:45 p.m. Snack for ages 18 & under

Thursday, August 2
